Hoorah! I’m still riding the Hip-Hop/Rap express and absolutely loving it. Here we have one of my favourites Macklemore in his remix of his own track ‘Otherside’. I must say I do prefer this version over the one from his mixtape which samples the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Basically the song is an anti-drug one which I think is a pretty important message, coming from rappers especially. Kudos to Ryan Lewis and Fences for their contribution to this, without them it would be a completely different track. Macklemore, similar to Childish Gambino and Hoodie Allen make you think about what they are rapping about, rather than how much money they have. This is what defines decent rap over that factory-produced shit that has been coming out of America recently. Listening to this you can tell that Macklemore has not lived an easy life, in fact most of us are a lot luckier than he is, however he has still pulled through to produce this amazing track.
